This is not the root most effective part of this plant. It is the top part of the plant. I returned this item because of this reason. My search on Amazon was for Echinacea Root Powder 1lb and this is what came up. The EXACT same item is on another website right now for 20. I just now placed an order on another site for 1lb of the ROOT for 26 lb 7.95 priority USPS shipping. I have been using this plant medicinally for over 20 years. I have even dug and dried the root myself, so I know this plant VERY well.
